Workshop: Creative Patching w/ Nikol Štrobachová

This workshop caters to more advanced and curious patchers. Nikol will show how to use modular synthesizers to execute physical modeling and some more complicated synthesis techniques, like wave multiplication and applying envelopes on filters.

BIO:

Nikol Štrobachová (also known as Kukla) is a musician and modular synthesis teacher based in Brno, Czech Republic, who also work for the community-driven Czech company Bastl Instrument. She is well-known in the modular synth Youtube community for her video series as “Patchení s Nikol”, and she gives workshops all around Europe aimed to help inform and empower women in their early steps into the world of electronic music performance. Live, her music is based on lower tempo rhythms with ambient layers of sound and modified noises of fauna and flora. She is also a member of Pink Noise, a community of women trying to create a safe space for females/non-binary people and create a more equal environment in the music industry.
