In this workshop we will go through the very basics of Ableton and the arrangement view. It will be focused on songwriting (not live playing, as for this purpose the Session View is the appropiate one).
Content: Layout of the interface, recording audio and MIDI, effects, transformation of samples, automations, etc. and my personal workflow and tipps about how to approach Ableton from a DIY perspective. The process of working and learning with Ableton is in itself and endless source of inspiration, where songs can take form merely by experimenting, transforming and layering sounds.
Duration: 2 - 2.5 h
Number of participants: 12
15€ paid in advance. All materials included. (For each workshop, there is one free/gratis spot for folks who are unemployed, migrants, refugees and others who are underprivileged economically. Write us an e-mail and we will help you out. Priority will be given to queer-identified people and women.)
